Can One Medical Group Succeed As A New Model For Physician Practice Management?
"The incentive for doctors [in joining One Medical Group] is to actually care for patients, and not worry about economic consequences," says Tom Lee, the founder of One Medical, and himself an internist. The San Francisco-based company operates thirteen primary care physician practices in San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., with two more opening by November. Last week, it raised $20 million from Maverick Capital, Benchmark, Oak Investment Partners and DAG Ventures, bringing the total amount of money raised to $46.5 million. Full Article
