We provide early stage investment and advisory services and seek to invest in companies for our own portfolio. Our typical minority interest investments are primarily made in companies that we have helped to develop from concept stage or those in which we have had a close working relationship with the founder(s).
We do not manage a fund, but prefer to invest our own capital and to partner with institutional investors. We have grown portfolio companies from concept to successful exits, typically through acquisition by a larger entity. These transactions have ranged from roughly $2mm to over $60mm for the equity at the time of exit. We have acted in primary operational management roles in several of our portfolio companies. Our current portfolio includes a healthcare services company with annual revenues of over $50 million (which started as a white paper concept by one of our staff) and a specialty manufacturing concern with annual revenues in the $10mm range. |
