New logistics company formed in a management buy-out. Cavalry Transportation needed equity capital and a lender. 2nd Generation Capital, LLC found both.

2ndG assisted the management team of a transportation brokerage and logistics division in a buy-out from their trucking company parent in a transaction involving a combination of equity and credit facilities of around $2.5mm.
2ndG identified and negotiated the entry of several private, angel investors, and arranged the operating credit lines needed by the start-up firm with SunTrust Bank and then Southeastern Financial. 2ndG principals originated the transaction and assisted management in the development of business plans, financial models and corporate organization & structure. In the first round, 2ndG also joined the new venture with an equity investment of its own.
